A Place for Your Notes

The other two screens are smaller, mobile sized screens: one an empty note, and the other a list of notes and folders.

FAQ

Who is this for?

Free Cell is for anyone that wants to keep their notes in a highly accessible place. It’s also great for researchers, academics, planners, scientists, and professionals that want computational power directly in their notes.

Is there a free version?

Yes. You can use Free Cell as much as you want locally. That means all your notes will be stored only on the one device you created them with. If you clear your storage the notes will be gone for good. If you want to sync across devices, keep them safe in the cloud, or share notes with family, friends, or colleagues, you’ll need to upgrade.

How does Free Cell make money?

We charge a small yearly fee for people that choose to upgrade.

OK, but what does it actually cost?

We haven’t finalized pricing yet, but it will likely not be more than the cost of a few coffees a month.

How can I be sure my notes are truly private?

We literally do not have the ability to decrypt our user’s data. If you lock yourself out, it's gone for good. And mainly, our code is open source, meaning you can see how it all works.

Why not just use Coda or Notion or Google Keep?

Those apps are too bloated. They make you wait. They are run by creepy, unaccountable corporate surveillance machines. Our philosophy is built on the idea that our goals must be aligned with our users if we want to run a sustainable business.

What platforms will you support?

Free Cell will first roll out as web app to have the greatest amount of accessibility and availability. We also anticipate rolling out native apps as user demand dictates.
